About Advanced Corrective Exercise Practical Application

Advanced Corrective Exercise Practical Application provides fitness, exercise and health professionals with the opportunity to demonstrate their proficiency in The BioMechanics Method approach to corrective exercise. This is accomplished by analyzing the individual components of a case study involving a real-life corrective exercise client, answering questions about information and skills learned in The BioMechanics Method curriculum, and applying corrective exercise knowledge to sample client scenarios and vignettes. As the culmination of the full curriculum, after completing this final course you will have fulfilled all requirements to officially earn your designation as a TBMM-AdCES.

  • Skills tests and self-check activities*
  • Online tests with unlimited, free retakes if needed

What will I be able to do upon completion of this course? (learning objectives)

  • Succinctly explain the information and skills you learned in each component of The BioMechanics Method corrective exercise education curriculum
  • Describe the dual purpose of each of the core components of The BioMechanics Method as they relate to both the professional’s and the client’s experience
  • Understand how the information and core competencies you have previously learned were applied through a real-life corrective exercise client case study
  • Analyze and evaluate programming decisions and outcomes for the case study client
  • Demonstrate your ability to integrate and apply the information and skills learned in The BioMechanics Method curriculum.

What else do I need to know?

Advanced Corrective Exercise Practical Application is Module 3 of The BioMechanics Method Advanced Corrective Exercise Specialist Certification course. It is available for purchase as a standalone course to enable students to review, refine and demonstrate their advanced corrective exercise program design skills while also providing an affordable option for those interested in progressing from the Corrective Exercise Specialist credential (TBMM-CES) to earning the Advanced Corrective Exercise Specialist credential (TBMM-AdCES).

The remainder of the TBMM-AdCES course components includes:

  • The Fundamentals of Movement Analysis
  • Advanced Corrective Exercise Program Design

The BioMechanics Method Advanced Corrective Exercise Specialist course is a step-by-step learning program. It is highly recommended that the course modules be completed in order to optimize the learning experience.

IMPORTANT: You must complete The BioMechanics Method Corrective Exercise Specialist course (TBMM-CES) AND all all three modular courses of The BioMechanics Method Advanced Corrective Exercise Specialist program (TBMM-AdCES) to receive your Advanced Corrective Exercise Specialist credential from The BioMechanics Method (TBMM-AdCES).

Additional course information

  • Eligible for continuing education credit with major health and fitness organizations (ACE 0.9, NETA 9.0, ACSM 9.0, ISSA 9.0, CSEP 15.0, BOC 5.0 Cat A, VBOPT 5.0 Type 1, REPs New Zealand 6.0; NESTA, NFPT, WITS, YMCA, NASM, and other certifying organizations upon petition. Most physical therapy boards will reciprocate approval for continuing education. Please check with your state.)
  • Eligible to count toward completion of the full TBMM-AdCES credential (must also successfully complete TBMM-CES and the remaining 2 course modules in TBMM-AdCES listed above).
