Many people tend to prop their weight on one leg/hip when they are standing to either shift weight off a painful ankle/knee/hip on the other side or simply to position their body to accomplish a task. New moms are especially guilty of this compensation pattern when they hold their baby on one hip while they are standing.  This side shifting of the hips can cause excessive stress/tension and pain to the muscles on the sides of the hips. This short video from Justin Price (creator of The BioMechanics Method) teaches you a simple massage technique you can use to help your hips shift back into alignment and your whole hip and lower back region feel a lot better.
