The BioMechanics Method is a comprehensive educational course that teaches health and fitness professionals a step-by-step process for assessing postural imbalances that can cause pain and provides them with exercise-based solutions to alleviate it.
Question: Who should enroll in The BioMechanics Method?
The BioMechanics Method is ideal for health and fitness professionals who work with people that are plagued by injuries and/or pain. All students begin with the Level One Corrective Exercise Specialist educational course to learn the fundamental techniques required to help clients of all abilities reduce or eliminate pain caused by musculoskeletal imbalances. Level One certificate holders who wish to pursue a career dedicated to helping people alleviate pain and improve their functional capabilities can opt to enroll in the Level Two and/or Business Professional program(s) once they have completed the Level One program.
Question: How long does it take to complete the Level One program?
The Level One program is designed as a self-paced course to provide students with the flexibility to complete the required coursework as their schedule permits. The total time it takes to fully complete all five Level One learning modules is approximately 50-75 hours. However, students have a maximum of 12 months in which to complete the course providing ample time to space the learning modules and accommodate other commitments.
Question: Do I have to travel to participate in The BioMechanics Method Level One course?
No. The BioMechanics Method Level One educational course is intended to be completed via distance learning. However, Level One students who would like to participate in additional hands-on training can elect to attend one of the optional internship or mentorship programs that are held periodically throughout the year.
Question: Once I become a Specialist in The BioMechanics Method, do I have to do anything to maintain my certificate status?
Yes. In order to maintain your Corrective Exercise Specialist status you must periodically renew your eligibility by updating your knowledge and skills in the field of corrective exercise. There are a number of interesting and interactive activities you can choose from to earn Ongoing Education Credits (OECs) that count toward your renewal eligibility. Maintaining your certificate status ensures that you are actively identified as a Corrective Exercise Specialist in The BioMechanics Method and retain your certificate holder benefits (such as referrals, event discounts, and professional recognition).
